Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, but it also has personal benefits such as gaining new skills and meeting like minded people – who often become friends!
Charities like Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) would not be able to continue providing the quality services and resources to those in need without this generous support from the general public.
Volunteering at BCNA events offers a fun and flexible way to contribute, while supporting individuals impacted by breast cancer.
Throughout the year, BCNA hosts a variety of fundraising events in our events calendar to secure much needed dollars while raising awareness of breast cancer across Australia. These events are, at times, grand in scale and require a lot of additional manpower. Volunteers could be allocated duties such registering patrons, marshalling crowds, assisting with children’s activities, or selling merchandise.

Our office volunteers typically commit to three to four hours per week, which is enough time to make a significant contribution to the daily running of our organisation. Duties might include conducting office administration tasks, calling and thanking donors, packing merchandise, or even data entry. Based in our Camberwell office, our volunteers often end up becoming part of the BCNA community.

From time-to-time, BCNA have special projects which require many helping hands to pull off. The projects are diverse but could typically involve jumping into one of our specialists teams and lending a hand to support their good work – from Fundraising & Marketing to Data & Digital, Finance, People & Culture, and Policy & Advocacy.
