Metastatic breast cancer

Metastatic breast cancer

Metastatic breast cancer is breast cancer that has spread from the breast to other parts of the body. It is also called secondary breast cancer, advanced breast cancer or stage 4 (stage IV) breast cancer.

With current advances in treatment, some people with metastatic breast cancer are now living for many years.
