Leaving a gift in your Will can make a world of difference to future generations of people affected by breast cancer.
A gift in Will is a donation of any size that is left in your Will. It is a wonderful way to ensure that your generosity continues to make a significant difference beyond your lifetime.
For BCNA, the gifts we’ve received have helped us sustain the support we provide to people affected by breast cancer and continue our advocacy for positive changes in the health system that provide better access to treatment and care.

I have been fortunate enough to observe the incredible support BCNA provides to all Australians diagnosed with breast cancer over BCNA’s history since inception, 25 years ago. Therefore, I made the very simple decision to leave a gift in my Will to ensure their great work for all Australians continues well into the future.
We understand that making a decision about how your estate is distributed is a very personal one. Once you’ve taken care of your family and friends, you may like to leave a gift to BCNA . Leaving just 1% of your estate to charity means your loved ones will still receive 99%. If you would like to ensure that all or part of your estate is bequeathed to BCNA, it’s a good idea to seek professional legal advice. This will ensure your wishes are met.
Your gift can take a variety of forms:
“I bequeath to Breast Cancer Network Australia, ABN 16087937531, the sum of $X.
(or)
I bequeath to Breast Cancer Network Australia, 293 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, Vic, X% of my estate.
(or)
I bequeath to Breast Cancer Network Australia, 293 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, Vic, X% of the residue of my estate.
(or)
I bequeath my X (description of property or asset/s) to Breast Cancer Network Australia, 293 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, Vic.
We also recommend the following clause:
I bequeath this free of all charges to Breast Cancer Network Australia, 293 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, VIC (ABN 16 087 937 531) to be used for general purposes. The official receipt of Breast Cancer Network Australia will be sufficient acknowledgement of having received this gift.
It makes me feel good that my gift is helping future generations on their breast cancer journey. It’s nice to know my gift is helping make it easier for them
You don’t need a lot of money, any donation helps the work they do.
I thought it was going to be very complicated, but it was simply a matter of telling my solicitor how much I wanted to leave BCNA in my Will. There was no drama, and there’s no ongoing paperwork involved.
