Breast Cancer Network Australia’s (BCNA) Online Network is a special place where people affected by breast cancer connect and share their experiences in a safe online community of support and understanding.
After 12 years, the Online Network has a new-look to make it even easier to navigate and find what you are looking for.
The re-design features new category icons for quick access to breast cancer topics and discussions, it’s easier to find BCNA’s regular Upfront About Breast Cancer podcasts and the search function has been upgraded.
Any time of the day or night, people affected by breast cancer go to the online community to read posts, write their own, ask a question or support others.
The Online Network is particularly valuable over the Christmas and New Year period when BCNA’s Helpline is closed between December 24, 2022, and January 2, 2023.
For people seeking support about their breast cancer diagnosis during that time, they can also call Cancer Council on 13 11 20 Monday to Friday. Operating hours will be reduced to 11am to 3pm from Wednesday 28 December to Friday 30 December.
For those who need to speak to someone Lifeline is also available 24 hours a day 7 days a week by calling 13 11 14. For counselling support from a mental health professional, Beyond Blue can be reached on 1300 22 4636, also available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
BCNA’s Helpline resumes its normal hours on Tuesday 3 January 2023, when the Helpline can be reached on 1800 500 258 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
