Workplace giving benefits

Organisations with workplace giving programs find them a great way to support corporate social responsibility goals and easy to set up and manage through the regular payroll system.

Most participating employers report their workplace giving program achieves high levels of employee engagement and provide invaluable opportunities for organisations to forge positive community partnerships and achieve new levels of corporate social responsibility. 

How BCNA supports our existing workplace giving partners

If you already support BCNA through workplace giving, here’s how BCNA can support you and your organisation.

• BCNA produces quarterly e-newsletter updates on our work and impact for you to share with your staff. If you are not currently receiving this newsletter, please contact us to include your organisation in our quarterly updates.
• A dedicated employee workplace giving page on our website which features an employee video to help you explain how workplace giving supports BCNA to new or interested employees.
• We also have a range of downloadable assets that you can use to promote and support your workplace giving program. This includes:
  • some general statistics about breast cancer and an employee guide that can be included in new employee induction packs.
  • posters to promote your support of BCNA through workplace giving internally.
  • social media tiles you can share to with your followers, displaying your organisation’s support of BCNA.
  • an email banner to promote your support externally if desired. 

How does workplace giving work?

Employees can contribute a small amount of their pre-tax salary to BCNA and make a big difference. They can give as much or as little as they like, and because their donations are pre-tax, they will receive the tax benefit immediately, rather than having to wait until the end of the financial year.

For example, if an employee donates $10 per pay cycle, depending on their salary, it may only cost them $6.75, but BCNA will receive the full $10.

To incentivise your employees to donate, your organisation may choose to match employee donations dollar for dollar. This way your organisation’s contributions will have double the impact, and highlight its commitment to supporting BCNA.

*Marginal tax rate applied for employees earning between $37,001 and $90,000 per annum @ 1 August 2021. Excludes Medicare Levy.

Collectively, your organisation and its employees can make a huge difference towards helping BCNA ensure nobody goes through breast cancer alone.

How can I learn more about how to set up workplace giving?

You may choose to work with one of our preferred workplace giving platforms such as Good2Give, GoodCompany, Givar, and Benevity who will simplify the process. These organisations can work directly with you to establish a program that meets your business objectives.

Once set up, you can nominate Breast Cancer Network Australia as a preferred charity and encourage your employees to support.

Alternatively, you may choose to deposit your donations directly to Breast Cancer Network Australia. BCNA’s bank details are as follows:
